Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (ToS) apply to the use of the Locationscout platform (hereinafter "Platform"). The operator is Locationscout (hereinafter "we" or "operator").

By registering or using the Platform you accept these Terms of Service.

Locationscout is an independent rating and discovery platform for event venues in Germany. The Platform allows you to:

• Search and discover event venues
• Read and write reviews
• Contact venues via inquiry forms
• Manage your own venue profiles as an owner

Locationscout does not arrange bookings and does not charge commissions. Contractual relationships are established directly between users and venues.

Personal experience: You may only write reviews for venues you have personally visited or booked. Reviews about third parties, fake reviews, or paid reviews are prohibited.

Factual basis: Reviews must be factual and based on your own experience. Insulting, defamatory, discriminatory, or false statements are not permitted.

Identification: To ensure authenticity and BGH compliance, we record your real name and email address internally. These are never publicly visible.

Moderation: Reviews are moderated. We reserve the right to reject or remove reviews that violate these Terms. Honest, factually substantiated negative reviews are never automatically removed.

Copyright: By submitting a review you grant Locationscout the non-exclusive, worldwide right to publish and display the review on the Platform.

Owners can create free profiles for their venues. Activation is subject to review by Locationscout.

Accuracy of information: Owners are responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of their profile information. Misleading information may result in profile suspension.

Responses to reviews: Owners can respond to reviews. Responses must remain factual and may not contain personal data of reviewers.

Premium features: We offer paid premium subscriptions for owners (details in § 10). Premium status never influences the review ranking or score.

The following actions are prohibited:

• Writing fake, competitor, or paid reviews
• Automated access to the Platform (scraping, bots) without explicit permission
• Attempting to circumvent moderation measures
• Distribution of spam, malware, or harmful content
• Use of the Platform for illegal purposes
• Creation of fake profiles or identity theft

Locationscout makes no warranty as to the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of reviews and venue information provided by users.

The Platform is not liable for damages arising from the use of the information provided, in particular not for damages arising from contracts concluded between users and venues.

Liability for intent and gross negligence remains unaffected.

You may delete your account at any time without notice. After deletion, your personal data will be deleted within the periods stated in the Privacy Policy.

Locationscout reserves the right to suspend or delete accounts in case of violations of these Terms. In serious cases this may occur without prior warning.

We reserve the right to change these Terms. Changes will be communicated to registered users by email. Use of the Platform after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

German law applies. For consumers, the mandatory consumer protection provisions of their respective country of residence apply insofar as they contain more favourable provisions.

Place of jurisdiction for merchants and legal entities is Hamburg.

Should individual provisions of these terms be or become invalid in whole or in part, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected.

Service and prices: Owners can subscribe to premium for their venue (€9.90 monthly or €89 yearly, each incl. 19% VAT). The first month is a free trial; afterwards the subscription renews automatically for the chosen term until cancelled. Payment is processed via Stripe. Premium includes additional profile features (e.g. more photos, clearly labelled featured placement, statistics) — never any influence on reviews or ranking.

Cancellation: The subscription can be cancelled at any time effective at the end of the current term — in the owner dashboard or via the “Cancel contracts here” button in the footer. Upon receipt we immediately send a confirmation in text form (Section 312k German Civil Code).

Withdrawal policy for consumers: You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving reasons. The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day the contract was concluded. To exercise your right, you must inform us (DJ Forte, Forsteck 2, 23623 Ahrensbök, Germany, email: info@locationscout.online) of your decision by an unequivocal statement (e.g. email). You may use the model withdrawal form below, but it is not obligatory. To meet the deadline, it is sufficient to send your notification before the withdrawal period expires.

Consequences of withdrawal: If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse all payments received from you without undue delay and no later than fourteen days from the day we receive your notification. We will use the same means of payment as in the original transaction; you will not be charged any fees for the reimbursement. If you requested that the service begin during the withdrawal period, you shall pay us a reasonable amount corresponding to the proportion of services already provided.
