General
What is Locationscout?
Locationscout is an independent review platform for event venues in Germany. You can search venues, read reviews, and contact venues directly — free of charge, with no commission.
Does it cost anything to use?
No. Searching, reading reviews, and contacting venues is completely free for users. For venue owners, the basic profile is also permanently free.

Yes. The platform is fully optimized for mobile devices and works in any modern browser.
Reviews
How are reviews verified?
Submitting a review requires a verified account. We store the reviewer's real name and email internally — never publicly visible. All reviews are moderated before publication.
Can I write a review for a venue I haven't visited?
No. Reviews must be based solely on your own personal experience. Fake reviews, paid reviews, and reviews about third parties are prohibited and will be removed.
Are negative reviews removed?
No — honest, substantiated negative reviews are never automatically removed. We only remove reviews that violate our guidelines (insults, false claims, fake patterns).
How long until my review appears?
Usually within a few hours. During high volume or when manual review is required, it can take up to 48 hours.
For venue owners
How can I list my venue on Locationscout?
Create a free owner account via "List your venue". After email verification, you can immediately add your first venue profile. The profile will be published after review by our team.
What does an owner profile cost?
The basic profile is permanently free. Optional premium features are available for owners who want more. Premium status never affects the review ranking.
Can I respond to reviews of my venue?
Yes. As a verified owner you can respond to any review of your venue. Responses are also moderated.
