This cookie policy explains which cookies and similar technologies Locationscout uses, for what purpose, and how you can manage them.

Locationscout only uses strictly necessary cookies. We do not set any tracking, analytics or marketing cookies and therefore do not require consent pursuant to § 25 para. 2 no. 2 TTDSG.

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They allow certain features to work, such as keeping you signed in across page loads.

Similar technologies such as local storage may also be used. They are covered by this policy as well.

The following table lists every strictly necessary cookie and storage mechanism used by Locationscout.

Locationscout deliberately avoids third-party tracking. We do not use Google Analytics, marketing pixels from Meta, TikTok or similar providers, or advertising cookies. We measure visitor numbers with self-hosted, cookieless audience measurement that works without cookies and without identifiers stored in your browser — see section 8 of the privacy policy for details.

We do not analyse your usage behaviour and do not build profiles about you. Server logs are kept solely for security and abuse prevention for a maximum of 14 days; IP addresses are stored only as SHA-256 hashes.

You can delete cookies at any time via your browser settings or prevent them from being set in the first place. Please note that without strictly necessary cookies, signing in and using protected features will not be possible.
